Like the Eagle, We Soar and Rise

"Like the Eagle, We Soar and Rise" was commissioned by the wind orchestra of the Yuying Secondary School and the Yuying Alumni Association (Singapore). The reason for the order was the centenary of the school's foundation in 2010.

This work is based on three different concepts: the first reflects the founders' passion for teaching; the second concept describes the need in wartime; the third concept, entitled "To the Future", is about the inner strength that people develop to overcome difficulties. The work ends with a fanfare that inspires hope for a better future.
