A Musical Fantasy

This piece was commissioned by Kunstfactor in the Netherlands, as part of the Swinds Project. (Swing for Winds). The work is contains several well-known musical styles similar to those found in well-known musicals. After a sparkling overture comes a cheerful Hollywood/Entertainment style allegro. This is followed by a quiet, romantic pop ballad.

A Musical Fantasy concludes with a swinging, jazzy finale. Besides the normal wind band orchestration, a Piano, Bass Guitar and Drum set have been added. In the Score and Parts you can find some Side Skills: These warm ups are very helpful for learning the composition.
