Music for String Orchestra
Originally written with seven movements, An English Suite is well-known for its tuneful strains of folk-style melodies, brilliantly presented in the familiar English style of Elgar and Vaughan Williams. Parry's suite hasbeen reworked to place it within the reach of most string ensembles and includes three of its best movements – Prelude, Minuet, and Frolic.
