Classics seen through the eyes of Mozart's contemporaries!
In the 18th century Mozart's most famous melodies were the popular music of the day and were frequently arranged for two flutes. These four volumes, based on the original arrangements have few editorial changes. Consequently, shortly before Mozart's 250th anniversary, they are still regarded as musical evidence of the Mozart cult already existing in his own time. These "musical fireworks" are as much fun to play today as they were 200 years ago.
