„Sebastian Gürtler has reimagined the finale of Beethoven’s Opus 132 as a swinging Musette. Other Beethoven works make passing appearances as quotes in the score. At the climax of the work, Gürtler portrays Beethoven’s hearing loss in evocative musical fashion, with unusual instrumental colors. The work concludes with an exciting virtuosic dash to the finish line.“
Das Werk ist auch in einer Fassung für Solovioline und Streichorchester erschienen (EW1180).
