Valse Triste

The Symphonic Dances were written for Peter Boonshaft, director of the Hofstra University Wind Ensemble, who premiered the work in 2009. The three movements (Gopak, Valse Triste, Barcarolle) are presented as separate publications, each with a very different spirit.
