This setting opens with a hearty cadence of snare drums and field drums, followed by the addition of fifes (piccolo and flute). The A section features ‘Bonnie Eloise,’ a favorite tune of both armies during the Civil War. The B section is original material. The love of Civil War music is evident in this fine arrangement. Very uplifting!
