Verena Dotzler has been a lecturer for Elementary Music Pedagogy (EMP) at the Music Academy "Louis Spohr" in Kassel since 2007.

Verena Dotzler studied Elementary Music Pedagogy and Piano at the Nuremberg-Augsburg Music Academy (Nuremberg Department) from 1999 to 2004. This was followed by a master class in music education at the Musikhochschule Nürnberg with Prof. Vroni Priesner (until 2006). Lecturer at the music school Heilsbronn and project work with students of the Musikhochschule Nürnberg. Her work to date has focused on lively concert design, music mediation with television for five- to seven-year-old children on the subject of "music and the fine arts" and the analysis of various instrumental methods of teaching. Since 2011 Verena Dotzler has been a member of the Arbeitskreis Elementare Musikpädagogik (AEMP), a working group of teachers who, among other things, have made it their task to further develop the subject in research and teaching.
