Born in Los Angeles in 1958, Leo Eylar has been professionally active as a violinist, conductor and composer. He studied violin at Northwestern University and the University of Southern California, and trained as a conductor at Vienna’s Hochschule für Musik and the San Francisco Conservatory, where he later joined the faculty. He currently teaches at California State University in Sacramento.
