Carsten Gerlitz: The All-Rounder

The much sought-after musician has often worked as a musical director for television productions, he was musical director at many theatres in Germany and Switzerland and arranged and directed shows in Berlin, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Munich and Vienna.

He arranges for well-known artists such as Max Raabe, Ralph Siegel and The Wise Guys, as well as for the large NDR and MDR orchestras, the WDR Radio Choir and the MDR Children’s Choir.

He is also a keen lecturer in pop choral conducting. In 2012 his book Just sing it! came out, and a few years later, in 2018 his book Popchor.

His publication Pop Ballads 1 received the “Best Edition” award at the German Music Edition Prize of the German Music Publishers Association 2022.
