The band from Birmingham, fronted by the “Prince of Darkness” Ozzy Osbourne, caused an immediate sensation, and their biggest commercial hit Paranoid is an absolute Classic Rock Hit. With his music festival “Ozzfest” and the 2000 TV reality show “The Osbournes”, Ozzy became a huge cult figure.
There are few metal or alternative rock bands that don’t cite Black Sabbath as an inspiration.
