We associate a title like this with Norwegian national romantic music like the music of Edvard Grieg. In this piece, the melody used ?Såg du nokke til kjerringa mi?, a traditional melody Grieg used in one of his four symphonic dances.The original version for brass band was commissioned by Manger Musikklag for the performance ?Voice of the Vikings?. This wind band version was made in cooperation with The Royal Norwegian Navy Band
