Description

Probably only a few Gondellieder were written by Hasse himself, but were published by Walsh (London 1742-48) under his name in three volumes, so that these heartfelt canzonets could be sold more easily.

In addition to this edition, a vocal version (EW1166) for a high voice and piano has also been published. This edition was presented at the Teatro de la Fenice in September 2020 and recorded for RAI Veneto (listenable digitally via Spotify: "Venetian Ballads"). Instrumental version
