With the Power of Music

"Mit der Kraft der Musik" was commissioned by the Hebelstiftung Basel. The Lever Foundation "donated" this work to "Hebelmusik Hausen" on the occasion of its 150th anniversary in 2005. The composer Markus Götz thought of all the musicians who devote their free time to music in the Hebelmusik, but also in all wind orchestras all over the country. After a hard day's work to go to rehearsal, the motivation is often difficult. But making music together, enjoying it together, releases forces that you probably cannot feel anywhere else. This "power of music" develops independently of the style of music and lasts much longer than just during rehearsals or concerts. The composition "With the Power of Music" begins in the introduction with powerful brass signals and then ends in an advancing marching section. The woodwinds play a contemplative and calm chorale, which is recorded by the whole orchestra. The piece ends in a brilliant coda.
