“Wind Music Goes Dance Music”! is the motto of this catchy piece by Austrian musician and composer Johannes Peer.

"Mike Drop" was created in 2021 for the "Popular Music" composition competition of the Upper Austrian Wind Music Association and was awarded a special prize.

It is a catchy earworm, the form of which is based on a classic pop song with verse, prechorus and chorus and which playfully processes the "drop" moment typical of electronic dance music (EDM) when the band calls out together: "Mike Drop!"

"Mike Drop" is fun to make music to, spreads good cheer and can be used effectively in various programs, be it as an energetic opening piece, a refreshing change in the middle or as a party beat encore.
