Zubiarre Audition Piece For Trumpet

This piece for Trumpet and Piano was likely to have been an audition set piece for final examination at the Madrid Conservatoire. The Andante is designed to show off the performer's ability to play a slow melody and the Allegrettodemands flamboyance. The whole piece has a light Spanish feel, in the manner of Bizet's Carmen, which dates from the same period.
