This melody is one of the most popular English songs. It tells the story of a lover's lament. “Greensleeves” refers to a girl's dress. The melody is based on an old dance called the Romanesca, which is why it is so rich in harmony. Many pop and classical artists have included this melody in their repertoire. I used simple bass notes for the melody and added a short introduction and coda. Have a listen.
