Siegfried's Funeral Music

Wagner wrote his opera Götterdämmerung between 1869 and 1874 and is the final work of the tetralogy that he began in 1848....26 years before!

The Funeral Music contains two motives which build towards an incredible climax. This musical eulogy for Wagner's tragic hero is one of the finest in all of the repertoire and is a thrill to perform.

Mr. Sauer has beautifully arranged this 9-minute masterpiece for a large 14-part brass ensemble with Timpani and Percussion appropriate for advanced performers.
