The edition of the Sonata faithfully follows the first edition. the Darmstadt manuscript copy is identical with the first edition, down to details of articulation and ornamentation.

The realization of the thorough-bass, based on the lavishly and carefully figured bass part, has been kept simple. For greater fidelity to the original text, we have refrained from adding any signs of articulation or dynamics.
