A man who had the curious notion of devising 'wallpaper music' (musicthatwas designed to be completely ignored by the audience).
However, the Trois Gymnopedies, fine examples of Satie's 'wallpaper music', are perhaps the best known of all of the composers works and to dismiss theseworksas 'ordinary' would be a grave mistake by any musician.
