Trio op. 63

Ferdinand Ries’s intriguing trio for piano, flute and cello is one of the few works for this combination from the Classical period. Very much in the style of Haydn and early Beetoven, the rather virtuoso piano part is ornamented with charming melodies of the flute and the sonority of the cello.
