Album Pour Mes Petits Amis

Pierné (1863-1937) was a French composer. He is also widely known as a conductor in France. This is a very easily written suite of six songs dedicated to each of the children of two friends. Among them, No. 6, "March of the Lead Soldiers," is a masterpiece that Pierné himself orchestrated as music for children and is widely listened to around the world. Pianist and educator Ms. Mariko Horie has added very thoughtful and easy-to-play fingerings.
