D
This traditional Irish tune was first published in 1855 after being collected by Jane Ross from the county of Derry. The lyrics of ‘Danny Boy’ by Frederick Weatherly were added to it in 1913. It is a passionate melody and this arrangement should be played with free expression and plenty of sustain pedal.
