Final(ment)e, Interplay of relationships for two trumpets and orchestra, was composed as an atmospheric counterpart to the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré. Several quotations from that monumental work flowed into the structure ofFinal(ment)e, and can for this reason barely be perceived by the ear alone. And yet this results in a network of relationships that is constantly present in the background.
