Performance notes: It is important that the pianist always express well and clearly the changes between tempo rubato and tempo preciso. Use full pedal (no filtering) all the time throughout the piece. In those instances where the use of the pedal is not obvious, it is prescribed. Tempo indications to be performed as accurately as possible.
