This new harmony treatise is organised in five parts, each one in relation to technical and stylistic information relative to different periods in the history of music:
the end of the Renaissance and the beginning of the Baroque era, for an initiation in three-note chords,
the Baroque and pre-Classical periods, for the handling of tonal functions, strengthening of cadences, simple modulations and an initiation in four-note chords,
the Classical period, in which keyboard writing is discussed,
the Romantic period (with, in particular, an approach to the language of Chopin),
modern French music: Fauré, Debussy and Ravel, which allows for studying non-functional chords, added notes, modal colours.
Text in French.
