The Grand Trio pour Piano, Hautbois et Basson is interesting in several respects. It is not only the first trio by a woman composer for this genre, but also the first work composed in France for this instrumentation by someone who did not play the oboe or bassoon. The trio was first published by Schoeneberger around 1870.
