New World Melody is bases on the slow movement of the Symphony nr 9 'From the new World' by Dvorak. The magnificent cor anglais solo is also written for alto saxophone in thes arrangement. However, the melody can also be played very efficiently by the complete band and can be performed at several ceremonies and indoor or open air concerts.
