6 sonatas
Early Music
Clair-Nicolas Roget's opus 3 knows how to impress with high baroque melodies. The 6 sonatas follow the form of a French suite. Originally composed for two transverse flutes, Roget's duets can also be played excellently on treble recorders. With the exception of Sonata 18, which has been transposed upwards by a fourth to make it easier to play, all sonatas are based on the transposition of thirds, which was a very common practice in the 5th century.
A little jewel of the baroque duo repertoire that definitely wants to be rediscovered!
