for Voice and Piano
Prolific vocal composer Thomas Pasatieri gives us a new monodrama for voice and piano, based on Juliet´s most famous soliloquys from Shakespeare´s Romeo and Juliet. The piece follows Juliet from her famous lament of Romeo´s relation to the Montagues ("Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo") to the tragic end of her life ("happy dagger! This is thy sheath; there rust, and let me die"). A lovely, passionate work that truly showcases both technical and expressive skills.
