Colors of the Wind

Walt Disney's cartoon Pocahontas was released in 1995 and the story of the film refers to the Indian woman Pocahontas. Princess Pocahontas was born as the daughter of an Indian chief in Virginia around 1595. She was later a mediator between the Virginia-Algonkin tribe and the English colonists. The cartoon Pocahontas still holds the record for the biggest film premiere ever. An estimated 100,000 people gathered in New York City's Central Park on June 15,1995.
