This lively, spirited composition has been carefully written to sound more difficult than it is. The first parts have all the flashy melodic phrases while the supportive and easier rhythmic figures are played by the other parts. The percussion section is showcased with several soli interludes, making this a very effective showcase piece and especially useful for ensembles with a wide range of abilities.
