How the recorder reacts on the most subtle air stream was the starting point for this piece. I set out exploring the area where the performer interacts with the instrument (and vice versa) in the most delicate stages. After collecting suitable material for the piece I started to morph the material into object-like short seperated movements, or, perhaps more precise, sculpture-like.
It becomes the confrontation of rigid/stable structure and the delicate/instable material. I treated these seperated sculptures as pure physical objects and started to cut them in the same manner as one would cut a shrub in order to shape a desired end-form (shape). Also, arranging the sculptures as one would arrange a physical object within a given space or location.
