Smith WV 137
This work is what one would call in economy a "Joint venture" - a posthumous co-production of Arcangelo Corelli and Peter B. Smith. The first bars were composed by the Italian master of Baroque Music and originates from the Gavotte of his Violin Sonata in F op.5 Nr. 10. From bar 9 onwards, the contemporary British Composer Peter B. Smith has developed this theme in period style. Despite ist origin for a string Instrument, the work seems to be just ideal for this combination and unfolds with brass players Baroque Grandeur.
