Melodious Fundamentals

“MELODIOUS FUNDAMENTALS” is a basic book for beginners which deals with the many problems that students are faced with when first introduced to music. Published in separate editions for both TRUMPET and TROMBONE (this is the bass clef edition), it has two important underlying purposes: first, to awaken hidden talent and second, to stimulate a desire for advancement and expression through music, both in individual and in group practice.

This unique approach was designed specifically to develop by a new technique, a sure-footed ground work in (1) tone, (2) intonation, (3) association of intervals, (4) a sense of rhythm values, (5) gradual extension of range, and (6) breath development.

For the development of all these essentials, a specially arranged and specially transcribed grouping of melodies has been selected from the best-known masterpieces of music and has been methodically interwoven with every practical variation in rhythm.
