Description
Dedicated to Franz Liszt, this Opus comprising 12 Etudes was written during the period of 1829-32. No.12 is a study in arpeggios, famously nicknamed Revolutionary Study, and the mood of this piece is more sombre andagitated, though there is some minor resemblance to the soft and graceful arpeggios of first étude in the Op. 10 set.
