Sonata D minor / Marcia in A major

The piano sonata, here published for the first time, marks the height of Emilie Mayer´s art. The Sonata delves deeply into Romanticism and therefore sheds a new light on the Mecklenburg Composer who as yet has been regarded as a Beethoven epigone.

The character of the Marcia is reminiscent of the Wedding March from Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
