Five Miniatures

The „Five Miniatures“ for five flutes were written for the flute-ensemble of the “Collegium Musicum” of the University of Erlangen (Institute for church music) and were first performed on Nov. 27th 1994 at the ”Neustädter” (University) church in Erlangen.

The miniatures are thought for studying as well as for progressed music pupils. When we are rehearsing them you must pay attention to the fact that each player dominates his voice well before playing together. All the five movements are quite different, you must pay attention to their tempo and volume to create the whole performance colourful.
