God Is Alive At Bethlehem!

The third of Ken Berg's superb arrangements of Basque Christmas Carols is a martial setting of God Is Alive at Bethlehem! (also know by the words "Whence Comes This Rush of Wings Afar"). The setting includes optional percussion which adds to the stern, militant character of the music and text. Contrasting the character of paganism with the new hopes represented by the birth of Jesus, this is an unusual and exciting Christmas selection for a good mixed chorus to tackle.
