Peter Schad is known for his distinctive and authentic style - every performance (1983-2023) by him and his "Oberschwäbische Dorfmusikanten" (Upper Swabian Village Musicians) remains in the memory and delights all generation. As a composer, he has conquered many hearts with his music and so the Jawoi Polka also underlines his inimitable style. Particularly noteworthy in this polka is the passage with the powerful "Jawoi!" calls - an expression of community and joy that immediately puts a smile on everyone's face. The Jawoi Polka was originally created as a gift from the parents for the 40th birthday of Gernot Dammerer, a musician in the Upper Austrian Bürgerkorpsmusik Sierning.
