Le Rendez-vous de Chasse
The Grande fanfare par Rossini, also known by the title “le Rendez-vous de chasse”, is a fanfare for 4 hunting horns and orchestra, written in 1828 during a holiday in Rambouillet, in the house of Baron Schickler to whom the composition is dedicated. The transcription for band by Michele Mangani maintains the soloists' parts unchanged, replacing the orchestral part with that of the band which is well suited, given the character of the work.
