Carlos Gardel (1890 – 1935)

The tango "Por una cabeza" was composed in 1935 for the musical film "Tango Bar". The premiere took place in July 1935, but just before that, on June 24, 1935, Carlos Gardel and his lyricist Alfredo Le Pera tragically died in a plane crash in Colombia. Gardel became a national hero, and the "Día Nacional del Tango" is celebrated worldwide on his birthday, December 11.

The famous Prelude op. 28 No. 15 by Frédéric Chopin is one of the 24 preludes that Chopin wrote during his stay in a monastery in Valldemossa, Mallorca in 1838. It is also known as the "Raindrop Prelude" because its steady rhythm sounds like raindrops.

Ebensfeld - "The Gate to God's Garden". From the local mountain, also known as Veitsberg, you have a unique panoramic view of the beautiful Main Valley. "At the Gate of God’s Garden" was created at the request of the music association Ebensfeld e.V. with its conductor Kathrin Motschenbacher in spring 2023. Donated by Paul Gartenschläger on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of brass music in Ebensfeld.
